Summit Productions is a community theatre group based out of the Historic Holmes Theatre in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. We present a full scale theatrical production each spring and present Readers’ Theatre events in the Historic Holmes Theatre throughout the year.  Summit Productions also brings Shakespeare to the great outdoors, when we present one of Shakespeare’s great comedies each summer.     The “Shakespeare in the Park” series is performed at the Bandshell in the Detroit Lakes City Park.   The production is a free performance for the community the last week in June and over the Fourth of July weekend. 

 

The mission statement of Summit Productions is “To put the Community in Theatre.”  Our goal is to support community theatre in the lakes region.   Summit Productions is supported in part by BTD, as part of the BTD Community Connections Series at the Historic Holmes Theatre.
